PIC/COMICS: Les Miserables

Right, I have returned! With pictures! And comics!
...okay, the comics, I'm just telling everyone, are on crack. I have no idea what I was thinking when I drew them. They involve movie quotes, Enjolras and Grantaire, and plushies.
-_-;;
This is a case of here, look at it, then I can hide it where it will never be seen again...drawn VERY quickly because there was so much to get through; thus the bad quality. Sorry.

A/N: Sorry about the size, I can't seem to make it any larger! Just, um, I don't know. Squint, or copy it to your computer and then zoom in or something. The references are Spaceballs and the Princess Bride

A/N: If you don't know this one, something is wrong with you. Monty Python and the Holy Grail, political peasant scene.

Date: 2008-03-04 01:54 am (UTC)It's not my fault: I was raised in a French culture where the Monty Python references (...like the Scarlet Pimpernel, for that matter...) are blocked out. D:!!! It's the Napoleonian Blocus. XDDD
However, I've seen Spaceballs. And those comics are really hilarious. XDDD

Date: 2008-03-04 02:01 am (UTC)Thank you! I'm glad you like them. I love Mel Brooks so much, some homage has to be paid.
...you have seen Princess Bride though, right?

Date: 2008-03-04 02:47 am (UTC)Have you really never heard the line "My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die."? I think I've just lost my faith in the world...

Date: 2008-03-04 02:57 am (UTC)Uh, at least you can be comforted ot know I've seen all the Star Wars films
and fangirled the Sith and the Imperials -- part of the stuff you mustn't repeat (the conversion to jacobinisme and republicanisme is very difficult to understand, but you have to skip in my older LJ posts to see that, it's creepy)? I've known many people in Québec who have *never* seen one, not even a part of it, not even a scene. I've only skipped through the first three Harry Potter (which means: watched 30 min. of the first, 1 hour of the second and more or less watched the third completely, but I sort of know the main references about it) and I more or less slept on the Lord of the Rings trilogywhile screaming "I'M BORED. IT'S SO LONG. THE RHYTHM IS SO SLOW. I HATE FUCKING ELVES AND FAKE MYTHOLOGY. IT MAKES NO SENSE." I'm a cruel rationalist. Do forgive me. D:no subject
Date: 2008-03-04 11:26 am (UTC)Well, Star Wars...
It's hard not to fangirl the Imperials/Sith. They are by far the most interesting and have the best fic.I dislike the HP movies
Mostly because they're crap...so I don't mind if you haven't seen that.I've seen LOTR all-three-movies-in-a-row 8 times because I wanted my friends to see it and they refused to if I wasn't there. -_-;; Trust me, I know the rhythm is slow, but compared to the books it's a speed demon. The only thing Tolkien can write is mythology. And Elves. If they do the Silmarillion and do it well I will forgive them everything, but if you don't like mythology then you shouldn't read that, awesome as it is.You are forgiven for being a cruel rationalist if you forgive me for being a fanatical mythology geek. I started studying it at the age of 2 and haven't stopped since. And in fact am currently majoring in it in college. Mythology and history, my first true loves.But really, no Monty Python and no Princess Bride? Mmmph. Bad politics and crappy system and all, I'm starting to see the virtue of living in America...
