Well, since people did show an interest, the Saint Just groping Robespierre disney-ish picture is here. I threw on some color to the sketch because, lacking a scanner, I had to take a photo of it - and the quality was barely visible. So I went to photoshop and added color, so now it's visible!

Saint Just gropes Robespierre

Please ignore the notes to myself and the other sketches around it - you see what I mean by bad quality, but admittedly those sketches weren't particularly good before I photographed it anyway. Also, clothing? Accuracy? Me? Only in my dreams.

I admire your artistic skill, too.

If you have anything you'd like drawn, I'm always interested in drawing things, and I never have enough ideas...

Hahaha, oh woah, this is so cool. :D

Hm. I look random here, popping out of nowhere. But somehow, I'm on your F-list and you're on mine. ^^;

Heh. Actually, this drawing was inspired by your wonderful Saint-Just/Robespierre fics, so I'm very pleased you like it! ^___^

Hee, thanks. ^.^ I really like the colour-compromise with S-J's hair, with darker eyebrows and eyes. So he doesn't look too blonde like too many draw him (or worse, with blue eyes -_-). He looks closer to what could be the original colour, light brown/dark blonde, which is sort of though to actually draw. <3

Oh, I know! I always imagine him with the type of hair that is essentially just light brown, but when the sun hits it it suddenly turns gold. My sister has that type of hair, so I know it exists (though convincing people that it is not magically changing Mary Sue hair is a chore).

It really is quite difficult to draw something that changes when your eye hits it. Do you mind if I draw some fanart for your fics, as well as just being inspired by them? I ask because some people mind...

Oh, yes, exactly like that. Which would at least explain all the portraits. Or it's just his magical Gary Stuish self. XD;

Hee, I don't mind at all. :D That'd be interesting to see. ^___^ You just inspired me to re-read my very first fic featuring them. I was amazed to see how cute I had written them. XD; Their couple is growing old in my mind, somehow. Oh noes. D:

You know, Saint-Just=Gary Stu works...surprisingly well. Color-changing hair? Check. Incredibly pretty and unusually tall for someone of that time period? Check. Rebellious past including running away from the family? Check. At a surprisingly young age becomes involved in very important events? Check. Immediately gets already established main character to like him? Check. Tragic death with said main character? Check.

Now all he needs is sparkly magical powers, a unicorn (though he might have to borrow Robespierre's) and a Hogwarts letter to be complete.

...ow, my mind, it broke.

LOL!!!!! My mind breaks often too, so no worries. ^^; Well... Have you heard of Organt? It's his big, nonsensical, absurd, cractastic, vaguely pr0ny (more like, naughty) poem supposed to be a Medieval Epic with knights, monks and all of that -- even, saints. You surely do know about it. Everybody does. And, oh, how he must wish he hadn't wrote that shit to be cool at 20 years old. XD; Well, the main character is completely a Saint-Just!Gary Stu: he's named Antoine (Organt), he's 20, and he's totally gorgeous and wonderful. My translation of his description:

Antoine Organt has seen the meadows
Twenty times deserted and twenty times covered with flowers again.
Twenty years has passed ever since
The Archbishop [Turpin], taken with a holy zeal,
Had elevated his soul to Paradise
In the arms of the Nun Engelle.

The blood of Turpins in his veins was boiling,
The brilliant eyes of his mother he had;
But that was all: for his head, carried high,
Wasn't the one of the son of a bigot.

There, the outline of his young chin
Was tanned with a light cotton cloth;
Vigourously, he handled the spear.
For governors [he probably means in the sense of "teachers" here] he only had soldiers;
Hunting, tournaments, jousts, since childhood,
Had made his delicate members strong.
And yet, most of these [soldiers] were heretics
The awfullest were mocking the relics,
Fooling the Saints, sometimes even the Lord,
Who, still, loved him heartfully.

I know; S-J's Gary Stuish soldier and blasphemous fantasies are horrible. XD;

Also, his Organt!Gary Stu ends up flying on a donkey (who represents the soul of a Saint Doctor of the Church -- don't ask) and therefore brays in Latin. Hence, the icon. And all the crack-related jokes. So, he doesn't need a unicorn, after all. XDDD

p.s. the Hogwarts letter: I almost want to see that happen. XDDD Except that, of course, Hogwarts is in England and that would cause some problems.....

*snickering* Yes, you're right. I have heard of Organt. It reminds me of most preteens nowadays, writing for the first time and very very proud of their work. And then looking back five years later, wincing, and saying "Oh god I didn't actually put that up, did I?"

Hmm. If Saint-Just is the revolutionary figure in charge of Gary-Stu fanfic writing, what are the others? Camille would probably be writing fluffy romance fics...well, Marat is obvious. He bashes everyone. As usual. I'm not sure about the others, though.

Well, he could be from Beaubaxtons, then. Prissy little costume and all. *amused* I'm still vaguely scared by the mental image of Saint-Just sneakily casting spells when other people are making speeches. Probably by lighting people's feet on fire and then pretending to not know anything about it when Robespierre asks him where he thinks the fire could have possibly come from.

Hm, Maxime definitely writes fluffy and vanilla poetry, but we all knew that. XD

Since I know almost nothing on Harry Potter world, I checked on wikipedia what Beauxbâtons was: beyond the fact the French always seem to be portrayed as prissy and frivolous by the English, the headmistress is called Olympe Maxime. *sporfles*

But if he can set people on fire, it would explain why N. Hampson calls S-J a "satanical monster". Ah, everything can be understood, finally!! XDDDDDD

*snickers* Considering how many layers of clothing they wore in the 18th century, I think surprise buttsex would be rather futile...
