Apr. 17th, 2005 01:53 amIt's 1:53 in the morning, do you know where your Rider is?
...at home, having just returned from school right now. She has sore, sore feet, has been in school since four (despite it being a weekend), aching hands from handling a screwdriver and lugging lumber/lights/set pieces around, a slightly hoarse voice from ordering other actors around in an imperious manner (as a quasi-techie, she outranks them), stage and dirt makeup on her face, and is very happy to have survived not only the play, but Strike as well. (if you understood that, I commend you)
Strike, as you might have guessed, is the taking-apart-of-everything that occurs on the Closing Night of the play. I acted a small part in the play and did spotlights and other techie stuff the rest of the time (yay, me!). The play was My Fair Lady, and turned out beautifully (except for the Big Techie Screw-Up of '05, which I was not involved in, and anyway happened on Thursday/Opening Night).
I now have LOTS of time, which I can now spend on homework, projects, test studying, comic-making (for someone else), script-writing (for a class), and - god willing - maybe sleeping a little bit to try to catch up on all the sleep deprivation experianced during Hell Week.
I may even be able to see my grandma, who arrive from halfway across the world three days ago, and whom I have not said more than five words of actual conversation. (Thanking her for the present and 'goodbye's, if you're morbidly curious)
Hello to you all! It's nice to see you all! It's nice to be back!...well, as much as possible.
