Mar. 8th, 2004 04:02 pmX.X There is such at thing as an overload of natural ecstacy. I didn't know that. However, evidentally it does exist, as given by my reaction to reading movie news...not only did I watch the Troy trailer again (which, while making me veeeeeery worried about the movie itself, still makes my heart try to go double-time), I also found out something else.
They're doing another thing based on Peter Pan (or, more specifically, J.M. Barrie and how he came to write Peter Pan). And Johnny Depp is starring in it.
*takes a short break to regain sanity temporarily after just saying that*
Now, as some of you might already know, when I was a kid, I once watched the Disney version of Peter Pan every day for over a year. And when I could I would coerce my parents (or grandmother, who still teases me about this) to roleplay scenes from Peter Pan with me, and this was long before I realised it was called roleplay.
My obsession with Peter Pan has yet to die, much like my obsession with Greek Mythology. Now, between Greek Mythos and Peter Pan, the Greek gods win hands down, but both of them? This single year?!
The Peter Pan one is featuring Johnny Depp, which is a fantastic actor. The Troy one features lots of pretty boys in short leather skirts (Okay, I'm a bit shallow. But as a teenage girl I think I'm fairly moderate...on real people, anyway) and features several very good actors. And they're both coming out THIS YEAR.
Pardon me, I have to go regain sanity again. *walks out and screams for joy then walks back in* Gods am I happy my parents aren't here today...
I think there are only two reasons I'm not spontaneously combusting right now. Okay, maybe three. 1, I'm worried about the quality of the Troy movie after seeing the trailer. 2, I want to see the movies. 3, I think some people might be upset if I do. Including, but not limited to, the people which will have to clean my room afterwards.
And, as you might tell, I got a bit distracted from recounting my findings.
